Read why Katsina Emirate Council suspended four village heads

The Katsina Emirate Council has suspended four village heads over their  alleged involvement in selling of part of government reserved forest, the Rugu forest in Safana Local Government.

Those suspended include, Magaji Illelah, Adamu Aliyu, Magaji Muniya  Hashimu Ahmad, Magaji Guzuruwa Ibrahim Aliyu and Magaji Madogara Isa Madogara.
According to reports, the secretary of the council and Sallaman Katsina Bello Ifo in a  statement issued yesterday said the affected village heads have been suspended till an ongoing investigation on their role in the forest encroachment is determine.
It can be recalled that the state government has vowed to deal with  anyone no matter how highly placed if found wanting on encroaching forest reserves especially as it affects the Rugu forest which an ongoing cattle rusting and banditry amnesty program revolved around.
