The Ijebu Professional Excellence Foundation (IPEF), a non-governmental organisation, has said Nigeria’s quest to overcome its economic challenges would require promotion of good business ethics and transparent corporate governance in the public and private sectors.

At IPEF award ceremony in Ogun State, its Chairman, Mr. Olusegun Mafe, attributed some of the challenges facing the nation to the failure of imbibing good corporate culture.

According to him, one of the cardinal objectives of setting up the Foundation was to promote and celebrate professionalism in Ijebuland through celebrating its citizens who had demonstrated professionalism in their fields of endeavour.

One of the awardees and a former Nigeria’s Ambassador to China, Mr. Olusola Onadipe, commended IPEF for promoting and celebrating professionalism among the distinguished sons and daughters of Ijebuland.
