Respite came the way of 3,500 pupils from Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State as Meals For All, a non-governmental organization treated them to a yuletide celebration with lots of gifts and food.
The foundation seeks to enhance children’s wellness, nutritional needs, and health education of pupils in public schools.Mrs. Oluwafunke Sodade, the group’s coordinator, urged kids to while having fun at the holidays, make the best out the season for a better tomorrow.
Some of the schools that benefited include Itire Primary School, Saint Martins Primary School, Oye Primary School, Community Primary School, Araromi Primary School, and Local Government Primary School all in Mushin.
The kids had an exciting from various fun activities like music, dancing competition, and the bouncing castle. They also went home with free gift packs that included Indomie, Cowbell chocolate drinks, Maltina, schoolbags, pencils, biros, and erasers.
Meanwhile, the Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation (AAAF) has put smiles on the faces of widows, children and the special persons in the spirit of giving during Yuletide.
Coordinator of the foundation, Mrs. Foluke Ademokun, said it was an end-of-year party for the over 300 children and widows, adding that the group seeks to empower the youths as well as assists widows through counseling, vocational education, and skills acquisition to improve their quality of lives.
She appreciated Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, Group Executive Vice Chairman, Siffax Group, for fully sponsoring the event, Ayosat ventures, families, friends, and members of AAAF.
“We have invested in the widows and paid for their children’s education while they have been empowered to profitably invest their time, energies and skills in different vocational projects, like bead-making, soap making, catering, make-up among others to make them self-reliant.”
