As part of its end of term activities, Kids Court School (KCS) Surulere, recently extended some love to the less privileged in charity homes by donating food, clothing and gift items to them.
The children, parents and staff of KCS all worked together to show kindness to the beneficiaries.Kindness was the theme for the first term of the 2017/2018 session at KCS, a co-educational Nursery and Primary School.
Places visited include Bethesda School, Ikota and SOS village, Isolo where they fete the children.Head of School, Mrs. Chinyelu Udemezue, on behalf of school editorial committee, disclosed that the donation, which includes foodstuff, provisions, books, toys and clothing items, was generated from parents of Kids Court School Children.
She said, “To commemorate the ‘kindness’ week, children and staff of the school visited two different charities namely, Bethesda School, Ikota and SOS Village, Isolo to make voluntary donations; the children also contributed their time and artistic abilities to creating hand crafted, personalised cards and a wall painting for their recipients who received them with great excitement.
“The experience was both enlightening and educative for all involved. The children also got the opportunity to share their understanding of the term ‘Kindness’. They laid emphasis on the need to be kind to everyone around us even if we do not get anything in return.”
