The ceremony which held in Abuja recently, was attended by the President of the NIOB, Bldr. Kenneth Nduka, who presented the award to the respected and reliable engineering construction company.
Also in attendance at the event was the Chairperson of the College of Fellows of the NIOB, Bldr. (Mrs) Bolanle Araba.
According to Bldr. Nduka, the Certificate of Merit of the NIOB is objectively awarded only to the professionally deserving. Julius Berger, he said, by the clear evidence of its dependable project management, delivery and safety records, and by its consistent compliance with best practice standards in engineering construction works, particularly, from the NIOB’s context, in the building construction sector as well as in facility management, clearly has earned the meritorious award from the NIOB.
The Certificate of Merit, therefore, is a well-deserved commendation from the highest professional body in the country’s building industry to further encourage the company to sustain and build on its record of excellent adherence to the best engineering construction standards.
Another high point of the ceremony was the official investiture of the Managing Director of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Engr. Wolfgang Goetsch, as a professional member of the Nigerian Institute of Builders.
The MD, a consummate and passionate engineering and management professional also holds the membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
The Executive Director Administration of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Alhaji Zubairu Ibrahim Bayi, received the Certificate of Merit on behalf of the Company.
