Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has said the state would soon implement the ranching policy to end clashes between farmers and herders in the state.

Lalong, speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Jos, the state capital, said he was deeply saddened by the barbaric attacks in the state recently, adding that the executive bill for implementing the ranching policy is almost ready and would soon be sent to the state House of Assembly.

The governor also called on all peace-loving indigenes and residents to stand united in prayers and be security conscious, as the administration was determined to better their lives and ensure that peace was restored to the state.
