Great Success Academy pupils visit The Guardian

Great Success Academy

Members of staff and students of Great Success Academy, Igbesa, Ado-Odo, Ogun State have been told to cherish learning outside the school environment because such outside-school knowledge acquisition will boost their confidence.

The school Proprietor, Mr. John Ogheneruemu Ejejigbe said this when the staff and students of the school paid a courtesy visit to The Guardian’s corporate office, Rutam House.

The students were shown around the company’s premises and taught different stages and processes involved in newspaper production from newsgathering to printing and distribution.

Ejejigbe said “as a former pressman, who knew the importance of the media in the society, we decided to come to The Guardian so that the children could practically learn some of the things we tell them and probably set in motion a future in newspaper industry. Some of them would want to consider a career in journalism. That was why we came up with the idea, and The Guardian readily obliged us.

“As a matter of fact, The Guardian being an agent of truth, was the only place that came to my mind that we must visit.”He advised other schools as well as parents to include visiting media houses, at least, once in a year.“Information is a win-win situation for both the parents and the students,” he said.
