Association’s chief promises to boost poultry business


The newly elected national vice president, South-South, of the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN), Hon. Enahoro Eta, who is also the chairman of Uzizi Integrated Farms, has promised that during his tenure he would ensure that all the states in the zone became havens for the business in the country.

He spoke at PAN’s convention in Abuja during which Mr. Ezekiel Ibrahim emerged as the national president.Eta assured the peopleof the Niger Delta that he would ensure that poultry products from South-South were traded to the other parts of the country rather than the zone becoming a dumping ground for poultry products from the other parts of the country.

He promised to also see that industrial poultry projects established in the zone were involved in backward integration approach towards making raw materials available to the operators.

Other principal officers elected included: Yusuf Ibrahim Gombe, vice national president, North East; Olabode Adetoyi, vice president, South West; Innocent Ahananye, vice national president, South East; Dr. Fati Danladi, vice national president, North Central; Abubakar Wammako, vice national president, North West and General Secretary, Joseph Kayode.The outgoing national president, Dr. Ayoola Oduntan, commended farmers in the country for the successful outcome of the election.
