The Rotary Club of Lagos Island has celebrated its first year anniversary. To mark the event, the club visited Motherless Babies Home in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, at the weekend to distribute food and cloth items.
This is besides the numerous social services rendered to the under-privileged members of the society, such as regular health camps, blood donation camps, vocational training programme, provision of artificial limbs and construction of water and sanitation facilities in schools, among others.
The club congratulated the home for the wonderful work done in collaboration with the Lagos State government through the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, and its numerous partners to serve one of the most often neglected members of the society.
