Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi Gianluigi Buffon are among the 18 players that make up the 2016/17 Champions League squad of the season.
Real Madrid, who beat Juventus 4-1 in the final to retain their trophy, have eight players in the 18-man squad published on UEFA’s website on Monday.
Sir Alex Ferguson, Ryan Giggs, Mircea Lucescu, Fabio Capello, Roy Hodgson, Peter Rudbæk, Mixu Paatelainen, Ginés Meléndez, Thomas Schaaf and Ioan Lupescu make up the technical observers, who compiled the list.
