Akeredolu presents N169b 2017 budget

The Ondo State governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) yesterday presented 2017 appropriation bill of N169, 720, 580 billion to the state House of Assembly for approval.

He presented the bill, which was the first budget since the inauguration of his administration on February 24, 2017, through the clerk of the House, Bode Adeyelu. The Guardian gathered that N58b was earmarked for capital expenditure, while N95.123b was budgeted for recurrent expenditure.

The details of the bill showed that over N8b was budgeted for debt servicing while N8.3b was allocated to the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

It also showed that N1b was allocated to the Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa (OSUSTECH) while the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko and Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo got N200 million each.
