Two feared dead at Oshodi APC primaries


It was a story of violence, stabbing and death yesterday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries held for councilors in Oshodi, Lagos State yesterday.

According to sources, no election held at Agege and Orile Agege centres as fighting erupted between party members, which disrupted the process with many people fleeing for their lives.

Oshodi, however, recorded the death of a party stalwart and zonal chairman of Okada Welfare Association for Oshodi, Mafoluku, Isolo axis, Aro Razak Bello, popularly known as Hamburger, was shot dead by unknown assailants.

He was shot dead by unknown gunmen at Methodist Primary School, venue of the Ward A primary election, while trying to protect Idris Ariyo, one of the 18 returned council chairmen in the state.

Hamburger, the CEO of Roseburg Hotel, was a popular socialite and fan of prominent fuji artists. His body has been deposited at the Lagos General Hospital.
Another man, Jamiu Desoko, suspected to be one those who shot at the deceased, was rumored to have been killed in retaliation yesterday evening.

The crises disrupted activities in Shogunle and Mafoluku area of Oshodi yesterday evening, as bus operators avoided plying the area over fears of a reprisal by hoodlums who were braying for blood and seeking revenge for the killing.
