Dortmund, Hoffenheim clash tops startimes’ live broadcast of Bundesliga matches

The German city of Dortmund will be on fire this weekend when top contenders, Borussia Dortmund and visiting TSG 1899 Hoffenheim battle for supremacy in the Bundesliga. It is the week 32 of the competition and the fourth-placed Dortmund side is hoping for a home victory as it currently trails third-placed Hoffenheim.

Their last match on December 16, 2016 ended in a draw, but head to head in their last five meetings, Borussia Dortmund has two wins and three draws.
However, Hoffenheim has been tremendous this season. A fifth division side in 2000, the club made a remarkable advance to the German football league system top tier Bundesliga in 2008 with the financial backing of alumnus and software mogul, Dietmar Hopp.

Analysts believe the Nagelsmann factor accounts for the upturn in fortunes of the team. They believe that since he took over from Huub Stevens in February last year, the 29-year-old has taken TSG from the relegation battle to the fight for Europe,

“We have a plan for every match situation,” explains defender Niklas Sule. “It’s an incredibly flexible system. We can switch easily between three, four and five at the back during a game. We’re more unpredictable to play against this season, which is one of our big strengths.”

Nagelsmann has certainly kept his opponents guessing. Having abandoned a 4-3-3 system fairly early on in the campaign, he has experimented with any number of variations on a three- or five-man defence.

Football viewers can enjoy the best of the German Action on StarTimes World Football Channels 244 and 254 by 2:30pm on today.

Brands and Marketing Director, StarTimes, Mr. Qasim Elegbede, said the pay television outfit was committed to delivering quality sporting content to its subscribers, hence the reason for the acquisitions of sporting rights like the Serie A, Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, Chinese Super League, Eredivisie and recently, the 2018 FIFA World Cup in over 48 territories in Africa.
