Children’s Day: Indomie Fetes Kids

Speaking at the occasion, the Head of Public Relations and Events, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Asiwaju Tope, said: “Every year, Indomie brings children in their thousands from their various clubs and entertains them with no expense spared.”

As part of activities marking this year’s Children’s Day celebration, Indomie Fan Club (IFC) organised a fun-filled weeklong party for over 100,000 school children across the country.

It also used the event to reward winners of the Indomie Show Your Talent Competition, which started in April. Thousands of children from various schools in Lagos converged on the Apapa Amusement Park to take part in a number of activities lined up especially for them, with the grand finale holding today.

Speaking at the occasion, the Head of Public Relations and Events, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Asiwaju Tope, said: “Every year, Indomie brings children in their thousands from their various clubs and entertains them with no expense spared.”

“We believe it is necessary to bring children together to play together, irrespective of their socio-economic class, and this year is no different. “Every year gets better and we are seeing the results from the children and the feedback we get from the teachers is very encouraging.”

He said some parents might not have the time to take children out to enjoy themselves; hence the firm wanted to provide an opportunity for children to feel included, noting that unlike in years past, when the event took place in one centre in Lagos, it held all over the country this year to make it more accessible to people everywhere.

Coordinator of the Indomie Fan Club, Faith Ogechukwu Joshua, said every region in the country had their own competition, with winners going home with cash prizes and gifts.
“The competition is one of the many ways through which the brand is engaging with kids by giving the opportunity to express their creative talents and abilities,” she said.
