ACE alumni give back to alma mater, reinvent exams, records unit

The alumni association of the Adeyemi College of Education (ACE), Ondo has announced its readiness to partner with the school for effective management, so as to prevent some academic hitches being encountered in other institutions.

The national public relations officer of the association, Mr. Yemi Olugbamigbe who stated this while presenting a high capacity generator set to the exams and records unit of the college on behalf of the alumni explained that the gesture was to enhance effective collation of results, certificates and transcripts.

According to him, it became necessary to give back to the unit, especially the transcript section, so as to expedite effective service delivery to the teeming ACE alumni spread over the world.


This, and other services at large, Olugbamigbe, pointed out would help to add more academic lustre to the institution and prevent whatever odds may bring the college to disrepute.

The deputy registrar, exams and records, Mr. Awe Adeyemi, who received the donation commended the alumni for the gesture; while also lauding the institution’s management for its efforts at improving service delivery.

An elated Adeyemi noted that management’s support have assisted the unit in clearing backlog of unprocessed certificates.On his part, the Provost, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, who is also an alumnus, said he was able to get his certificate and transcript 20 years after his graduation.

Ogen, who came on board in 2014, noted that the backlog of unprocessed certificates motivated him to apply for the job so as to proffer lasting solutions to the academic menace in the unit, “the major unit linking the institution to the outer world.”

He pledged his commitment towards introducing a digital archival system in the unit so as to forestall any case of certificate scandal and other related issues,rocking some higher institutions in the country.
